Ruthli Losh-Atkinson was born in Middlesex, England. She studied art at the Watford School of Art and at the Wall Hall College.

Ruthli worked as a commercial artist for some years and then commenced a career in art and English teaching. This took her to Buckinghamshire, Norfolk, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Since returning to Britain, Ruthli has worked as a full-time artist. She has developed an individual style, depicting the nude in aquarelle crayon and other media. Her work is in private collections in the UK, Denmark and the Czech Republic.
