Richard
Coward began his artistic career as a photographer,
studying advertising and photography in London. Soon
after his studies Richard broadened the scope of his
work to include drawing and silk screen printing. More
recently he has also been painting large canvases in
acrylic. His work has been featured in numerous newspapers
and magazines.
Richard does not talk in detail about his works, preferring
instead to let the works speak for themselves. His work
has often been described as abstract despite his frequent
use graphic elements, such as the flag or the star.
Experimental would perhaps be a better description,
the works being the result of Richard's experiments
in form and colour.
