René
Roberto Vermeulen was educated by being „thrown
in at the deep end“. Born at the height of the
DDR in 1963 his creativity stemmed from both the demands
of life and his own drive. Initially trained as a steel
fitter he later trained as a merchant seaman and spent
around six years travelling the world, collecting and
distributing creative ideas in over forty countries.
Earlier in 2002 he joined twenty native artists in
the „Künstler für den Frieden“
(“Artists for Peace”) exhibition on La Palma.
His studio on the shoreline of Lake Constance has developed
into a cultural meeting point and an inviting location
for artistic participation. |
