John Newland was born in Norwich and studied at the Norwich School of Art, gaining a National Diploma in Illustration in 1957.

Having worked at a printing firm for 40 years he is now retired and dedicates his time to painting. John works mainly in acrylic.

John’s landscapes are inspired by his love of the countryside, particularly East Anglia and North Devon.

A Norfolk landscape was recently purchased by the House of Lords.
